  • GIAI Books - AI educational contents as books, written by GIAI internal members
  • GIAI LMS - Moodle based educational platform for AI education and SIAI admission exam
  • JMDS - Journal of Managerial Data Science, supervised by MDSA*

So this is where we run our community? Great work! :star_struck:
Regarding the sub-categories for Research/Books/LMS, let’s do so once you are done migrating all contents to Drupal. You should also get in touch with MDSA directors once we officially kick off sometime in Nov.

@KeithLee I will handle the sub categories and user rights. As @davidoneill said earlier, we’ve got to set up custom rules for each stream of discussion. For example, GIAI LMS should be more open to general public, but topics for JMDS and GIAI Research should be confined so as to avoid any trolls asking off-topic questions. There must be a Discourse way to set up a prior quiz question to promote users from level 0 to 1. If not, I will find a way to sync user levels btwn Moodle and Discourse. We sure can handle quizzes on Moodle.

Anyways, great job done! We saved tons of :moneybag:

@catherinemaguire, do you remember that Drupal module for Discourse? Discourse Comments | Drupal.org You’ve got to re-compose that module for Drupal 11 and fit for our needs. I remember @keithkhl does not like to have the CMS to share user bases, so that module customization must keep all user footprints within Discourse. Would have been better if the module authors were as diligent as the WP version author as we discussed earlier. But this shouldn’t be more than a day work for you. Let me know if you need support for debugging.

For them to freely access this forum, I think we should work on apps. Discourse default app offers only basic, so likely we need to build a new app. Considering maintenance costs, well… let’s first build forum for them first, and see what they say.

We can have Moodle handle quizzes and user promotion, and let it provide an SSO point to Discourse’s (sub-)categories. In fact this is one of the key benefits we can expect from Moodle - Discourse integration. Gotta work on Moodle for quizzes and surveys. Plz look around Discourse if there is any alternative, but I so far have been unable to find any.
